Welcome

This blog describes an electronic Ammeter for Railway purposes for Project Engineers and Technical Managers.
The Ammeter measures the current in signalling systems, trains or other railway products.

The basic idea behind the product is to make a generic failsafe electronic ammeter that connects to a wire and transmits the measured currrent value to an interlocking system or a train computer.

Case 1: Interlocking controlling object

Case 2: Interlocking energize relay. Optional current leak detection

The current is measured with built-in resistors.
Two independent microprocessors (1 and 2) compile telegrams to a serial line that can be read by the Railway system.
Internally, the Ammeter continuously performs a self-test.
On this blog you should be able to find the necessary information's in order to judge the product.
